the glam bar CANCELLATION CHARGE IS WRONG! Red Bank, New Jersey
I called for an appointment at "the glam bar" Thursday at approximately 2pm, for a service on Friday at 5pm. At the time of the call, the only information taken was my name and phone number. I work in a hospital, and was not making it out of work on time come Friday, so I called at my earliest convenience, approximately 30 minutes prior to my appointment, to cancel. At this time, I was asked if I was aware of the 48 hour cancellation policy, which I was never informed of when I booked, let alone my appointment was booked only 24 hours in advance. I explained my work circumstances and the receptionist said she saw it was my first cancellation on my "account" ( didn't know I had one) so it would be fine. Fast forward to Saturday, when I log into my online banking and see a $40 charge from "the glam bar", which is the amount of the blow-out service I had cancelled. I called back to dispute, and was asked yet again if I was aware of the cancellation policy, which I repeat was NEVER told to me when I booked, despite the fact the appointment was made only 24 hours in advance. Also, I NEVER gave my debit card # during my appointment booking, therefore this company had the audacity to open old transactions and use my information to charge me without my knowledge? Let alone, this "fee" is the cost of the ENTIRE SERVICE, whether it was rendered or not. The receptionist informed me there was nothing she could do, and that the owner would call me when he is in on Tuesday to hopefully "resolve this". Once I settle this, I plan on NEVER returning to the glam bar, due to its poor communication with customers and unethical use of my debit card information from a past transaction WITHOUT my knowledge.
