The Home Depot / Ridgid Power Tools Lifetime Warranty is a fu $%&#! SCAM ! Kinda reminds me of Cahalahan Auto Parts ftom the movie Tommy Boy, Put Lifetime Warranty in Gold Foil on the box, and bury the warranty details in fine print within the paperwork inside the box !!! By the time you take the product home , unpack everything, use it, go inside and register the product online, then come to realize that you've been had !!! This Warranty has many conditions! The warranty does NOT COVER abuse ( thats fair ), does NOT COVER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR !!! LMAO ! EVERY THING IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ! I own SEVERAL Ridgid products ( never again ! ) My Ridgid shop vac just started smoking from the motor, i tried to return it, guess what I was told ? Normal wear and tear not covered !!! The Home Depot said they could call Ridgid Monday ( because Ridgid is NOT open on the weekend's) and they would have to send it in for repairs, and I would be responsible for all costs ! I miss the days the No Bait and Switch B.S. I am glad i did not buy the Ridgid Miter Saw and the Ridgid Brushless Drills ! The Lifetime Warranty on their Batteries is a joke too... The Home Depot sends them back to A Ridgid service center blaa, blaaa, blaaa....the do not simply hand you a replacement! The Warranty on the box is just that , it gives you a false sense of security! You can get a good look at a T- Bone by sticking your head up a bulls a** , but i'd like to take The Butchers word for it ! In other words, buy quality products from a reputable company, Milwaukee, Makita , Dewalt etc...

I have to respectfully disagree with this comment.  if you follow the rules for the warranty, you have no issues.  I have 3 sets of rigid tools for my employees, and i have replaced multiple batteries and tools with no problems.  you just have to call Rigid and they ship you a new one, then you have to update your registry.. its actually easier than going to Home Depot to return an item, its all over the phone.
