Being in a new town, stuck in the same job, and trying to buy a new house, a letter came to me from The League. They said it was for my eyes only, and they were an anonymous group and were anxious to recruit me into this special society. They said they had been following me for some time, knew so much about me, but didn't mention anything specifically about me.

It was a 10 page letter, typed on both sides, signed simply Bill. It told stories of Einstien and Bill's poor past, and swore he didn't want my money, just for me to simply pay it forward after all my dreams came true. They said all I had to do was say yes and join this elite club. Just mail off this certificate by a certain date, and it would be the only invitation I ever received.

I did mail off the letter and the whole way to the mailbox I was saying a prayer that this was real, and that all the good i've done in my life was paying off and was giving it a chance because it was rare you get a letter like that that didn't want any money. I thought just maybe God was answering my prayers and my husband and son could live a life of ease and retirement.

I immediately started seeing what I could find online about this "secret society" and it didn't take very long to find this website. I am so grateful others had posted on the same letter and told their stories so that I didn't spend all this time anxiously waiting some fantasy to come true. Granted I wouldn't have sent money anyway, but at least now I'm not wasting prayers on some jerk with too much time on his hands to come up with such a scam.

Scam or not

I received a letter inviting me to join the LEAGUE. MY first reaction was to search the web and I found this site. I don't know if it's a scam, but only GOD can offer the things the LEAGUE speaks of. Not once was GOD mentioned and that was enough for me. Satan is real and I believe he's at work in the LESGUR.

I have read this response to the lea gue and this individuals input.. I was searching out whether or not this letter I just received today in the mail was legit or not this time, as I have received this same letter 3 times in the past 8 years or so and have alway wondered if I should follow through with it; but each time I received it the dead line date for returning this response was always already past due. This time I am investigating it as a scam or not and while reading this particular response posted , I notice they say the society has been around since 1960 yet the letter I have states its been around since rhw rimw oue republic was born over 236 years ago!

So for this reason I get the instinctive intuition to consider this letter or invite to be bogus as to its legitness.  Now with that being said I remember the invites/letters I received in the past all stated that this would be the only opportunity for me to join this once in a life time offer.  Well, this is the forth time they have reached out to my address and are once again claiming that I am special and that they have been following me for some time know alot more about me than I know.

That is all I wanted to state and hope that if this was real that they woultd be more transparent and not so secretive about everything due to the expectation of getting me to send money with just a typed letter with no real prood that it is real or in this case not a scam.

It pains me to continuously spot "scam alert" posts on Ripoff Report, especially since the claims are unsubstantiated. Just because the marketing material makes all sorts of claims doesn't mean that it is a rip-off. I've been a member of the society for nearly a decade and it has helped me tremendously. Not only do the concepts apply to your life no matter what your background or income is, the society assists you every step of the way.

Member Services is available 24/7, even on major holidays. If you leave them a message, they will get back to you ASAP. They aren't paid and have all demonstrated initiatives to assist their members. The society has plenty of free and paid conference calls to break down their literature, while presenting additional information. There are live events and international clubhouses for face-to-face meetings, private forums and chat rooms for additional discussion, and a business alliance program for job seekers, potential entrepreneurs and business owners alike.

I utilize these programs and find that the more you use them, the better your life will become. Because of the Neothink Society, I have started two companies. The society has also funded the Grand Canyon Skywalk, and the founder's daughter has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the ASPCA.

I feel it to be completely unfounded for non-members to start flame wars, claiming that the society is a scam. If you have been in the society a long time, you would know that it's not. They have been around since the 1960's and continue to assist people in bettering themselves.

Any city,
Tons of information about this online

Just google'd and yahoo'd them and there is a welath of information about this online.  Just at this website alone, there are many complaints from people who got a 10 page form letter with the exact wording as yours. So no, this was not god-sent, you simply were a stranger chosen at random. They do ask for an invitation fee and monthly fees and then try to sell you books. The fact this has been going on for years is evidence people fall for it, when common sense should have prevail.  I imagine they prey on the elderly. I also read that the head of this "organization" lives in the West Indies.

The whole thing sounds like a Twilight Zone episode or the beginning of a low-budget horror movie. I would never had responded to something some blatantly bizarre and weird.  Didn't the fact they said they had been watching you creep you out? If some random stranger sent me a letter with that comment, I would definitely investigate them to see if I needed to call the police!
