The Levington Lending Group told me they were making loans through private individuals or corporations that wished to make loans available through themselves. I was ecstatic! I was approved through a lender and was offered a loan for $15,000.00 at 6% interest for 18 months repayment and without a penalty for early pay off! I can go see my dentist and get my emergency dental work done after all.

The lender was requiring collateral for this loan, but not a lein on my home or auto simply a good will jesture of making the 1st 2 loan payments prior. Fine, I can do that, and although the monthly payments sound like a lot to most, I can make those payments as well. I signed and faxed my loan papers to them 9/22/2009. On 9/28/2009 I had monies available for the 1st 2 payments and was ready to proceed. I thought that they would do an automatic withdrawl and monies would be disbursed for my loan the same way.

My lender is in Canada appaerently that means I must wire the payment directly to him. Red flags began waving, although the paper work looked completely legal and I deal in documents similar on a daily basis, I was also in a hurry to visit my dentist. I wired the monies $1,774.47 + an additional $109. for the wire, went back to my home office and called Dave Askew at Levington Lending to find out when my funds would be deposited assuming they might need a day or so.

I was then told that the lender was now asking for an additional 2 payments up front. I said no, that was not in our agreement and I wanted my loan. He hmmmed andhawwed and finally asked me if I then wanted to cancel the loan, which I did not, I wanted the loan on the terms agreed upon and set in writting. However, I told him I did, if he could not come through with the terms as agreed upon, then I wanted immediate reimbursement of my funds.

He then told me he couldn't do that until 10/19/2009. That simply is not acceptable. I was able to make my payment on time (before the close of 10/09/2009 - this was wired on 9/28/2009). Now he could make my refund timely as well.

I have received no loan, no refund and last I addressed him I told him he was being reported to the BBB. No response as of yet. I'll bet the BBB gets one!

Do not loose your time, money or sleep to these criminals! Forget getting a legitimate loan here!

This is just a few scammers with Internet access and throwaway cell phones.  You have not been dealing with a loan company.  What you did was to send $1774 to an anonymous person on the Internet via an untraceable means (Moneygram or Western Union).

You should have listened to those red flags.   When someone you don't know requires you to wire money that way, you are being scammed.  Also, when you have to pay in advance for a loan, you're being scammed.  Real loan companies don't work that way (it would be illegal).
