The Missing Link Research Group Ripoff: Hired for surveillance work, received 5 min video clip of parking lot Grayson Georgia
Jae Michael Henderson was contracted for surveillance on my wife for a child custody case. He was to monitor where she was going, who she was with and what she was doing initially for two nights, longer after seeing his work. Jae explained he would be able to provide me the photos and video I would need to show in court my wife's lifestyle and relationships outside our marriage. As in a previous ripoff report, Jae was adamant about getting his money upfront.
30 days after his work was complete I hadn't received anything from him accept assurances that the photos and video I needed were on their way... When I threatened to contact the credit card co to report fraud, his response was a threat of his own...I do not want to make enemies with him...
A month and a half and many phone calls and emails later, I received a DVD in the mail that contained 5 mins of video showing her car in the parking lot! No photographs and nothing I can use in court; it was completely useless armature video I could have taken myself. For this I payed $1500? It was 5 mins long - 4.5 mins of her car and about 30 seconds of my wife walking to and from it. He did not get out of his car, he did not follow her to where she was going, he did not document who she was with or what she was doing.
Now his number is disconnected. A search online and the Better Business Bureau shows that Jae has a history of ripping people off, changing phone numbers and addresses (he shows up in WA and GA) and successfully dodging repercussions.
He operates out of his house in Atlanta and is protected by his LLC business status.
However, conversations with my attorney and a phone call to the George State Attorney Generals office give me hope that I can pursue this guy through legal means. I pay for legal insurance, so I have the means to see this to the end.
I also have calls into the local Atlanta newspaper and a couple of television stations in hopes of warning the public about Mr. Henderson.
