I purchased a puppy from the The Puppy Shoppe in Edison, NJ, which was sick when purchased. I took him to their vet as told and they gave me a letter stating he was unfit for sale.

I then called the owner of the Puppy Shoppe and told him and he offered me my money back or if I kept the puppy he told me he would pay the vet bills to get him well with this cough he had.

After two rounds of antibotics, the puppy has only gotten worse and I took him back to the vet again. I was then told the Puppy Shoppe would not pay the vet bills anymore. It is stated in the sales agreement that they are responsible for the vet bills if the puppy was proved unfit for sale.

I bought a sick puppy from this estaablishment, and they knew he was sick and they are not honoring their obligation to me or my puppy. They were nasty and rude to me also.

The vet office also told me they receive many sick and dying puppies from this establishment. This is an outrage. I am planning on picketing the store and reporting the Puppy Shoppe to the NJ Div. of Cosumer Affairs

That Store Is Bad!

I was driving by and decided to stop in. I couldnt even breathe walking in. It smelled like feces and urine. I held my nose in my shirt the whole time. The puppies looked sick. They did not look taken care of, and I could not believe how many dogs they carried. They had cages and cages of dogs in the back. The prices were outrageous. I walked out of the store saddened wishing that I could rescue each and every one. Pet stores are not the way to go! I have had a bad experience with a different pet shop. Not all breeders are good either. Make sure you file complaints with Consumer affairs, and local health department. Not enough people make complaints which helps these places to stay in business.
