Unfortunately I am only now reading all of these complaints. I purchased a bedroom suite from the Roomstore in 8/01. It took over 4 months to get all the pieces to the bed but finally got it. I then paid off my balance before my one year deadline in 8/02. I then proceed to call HRS and ask that my acct be dissolved, and also called the Roomstore with same.

Only now, 1/03, I recieve a bill for $400 for a "purchase" I made 12/9/02. I too have call HRS and the Roomstore and even went into the store itself. I have been given any excuse from no response, we cannot do anything it's HRS, to this is a purchase/exchange from 8/01. AMAZING!!!! I pulled my canceled check and it clearly states PAID IN FULL on the memo portion of the check, but somehow I have the feeling I will be fighting until I am blue in the face and my credit is trashed because of these idiots sponging money off of customers who paid their bills.

I think this store and HRS should be shut down and prosecuted by the Better Business Bureau and any DA that has a store in their area. This is an outrage and I cannot understand why it is being allowed to progress and continue!

The Roomstore is only interested in taking the customers money they could care less about the customers. I have had several customers with bad deliveries. This merchandise is leaving the warehouse house damaged and delivered to the customers home. Then the store manager wants the sales people to take care of the customers complaints. When we work stickly commission while management and clerical play solataire. After paying for furniture if your order is completed and you want take delivery for more than a week, management goes into the system and gives it to anyone who needs it sooner. Which means you will have to wait on yours. Well working on the inside the things I see happening to customers I would never purchase at the roomstore. You as a consumer should never be treated like this. These problems I am sure they are aware of.
