So, I followed up with an e-mail stating pretty much what I stated above about the quality of craftsmanship I found and why I wanted my money back. Only to get the totally rude and obnoxious response below.
You cant return the boxes, we dont care about your insults and there is nothing we can do for you! There are bad reviews by crazy buyers for all whelping boxes sold online as well as every other product sold online. When you get some confused nutcase hiding behind a computer they feel ten feet tall and will say anything. Same as you. The below complaint is exactly what Im talking about and exactly what you did. You waited til the last minute to provide for your poor animals, bugged the hell out of us about shipping time, then when you got the boxes to help you, you complain about the quality, then when we wouldnt return you went on a rampage. Pretty standard internet nutcase situation. LOL You purchased the cheapest box on the market. You dont want to discuss any specific points about the box, same as the other freaks who have thrown a tantrem. You just want to insult. Im very sorry you thought you were getting something fancy for the price of a couple bags of dog food. LOL You got exactly what you paid for and you looked at a clear photos of the product before purchase. We didnt force you to purchase and we didnt need you to purchase. You being upset means nothing at all, same as those complaints. We are at the top of google search results and dont need your support to sell our products. The box has the features you need but you dont care. It doesnt matter to you if it helps your animals live, you just want it to look nice! LOL We get it! LOL Again, if you think that box wont hold up to your little dogs, you look like an idiot. You will be totally fine with those boxes so get over it.
So, do yourselves a favor and save yourselves a lot of trouble and money and stay away from these guys.

These people sound like real jerks, but are you sure this is a rip-off? You say it's cheap plywood and 2x2's that have a bit of primer on them. That pretty much describes exactly what is shown on their site. The product looks pretty crappy online, so I'm sure it looks terrible in person. However, it sounds like you might just have a case of buyers remorse.
Also, you mention the height of the opening is way too tall, but I think that's clearly depicted in their web site photos as well. It's pretty obvious that a tiny dog would have to jump up to get in/out (the little dog in the pic is depicted standing, nearly upright, on his hind legs with his front paws on the opening).
Do you have any photos of what they actually sent you? It would be helpful to see them in order to compare what you received to what they purported to sell.
I'm not trying to be insensitive (because their responses are so far out of line!!) But, it's not a rip-off to advertise/sell a crappy product. Their product description is pretty carefully worded to make it sound like it's the best on the market, but they never actually say that. They use words like, "safest" "last longer" etc. but they never say "best quality" or "high quality." In fact, they clearly state it is "almost the least expensive" compared to others. That raises red flags in my book.
I'm sorry you aren't happy with the quality of the boxes you received, but unless you can prove they sent you something other than what is depicted on their site, I don't think you really have a case.
