THEA & LINEBARGER GOGGAN BLAIR & SAMPSON, LLP I traveled on the Leroy Selmon Expwy in Tampa, FL 11/13/2014 & there was no one at the toll plaza to pay. I assumed the toll road was no longer a toll road. 4 months later I received a notice of unpaid toll violations for $27.03. Keepin mind I never received anything until 4 months later. I spent 2 weeks talking to both THEA & the Collection ATTY. & they tell me if I don't pay they will suspend my vehicle registration & keep adding on $15.00 late fees. Keep in mind thetolls were only $4.83 total they say. This is highway robbery...excuse the pun....I am outraged at this SCAM. They are threatening to have any vehicle I own registration suspended with the state of Florida. Jacksonville Florida
I traveled on the Leroy Selmon Expwy. In Tampa,FL on 11/13/2014. There was no way to pay a toll as noone was at the tollplaza & there was no baskets toput the money in. 4 months later I received in the mail a letter from an atty. office stating my registration for my car & any car I try to register will be suspended if I don't pay $27.03 & plus $15.00 if its late. They claim the tolls were$4.83 plus fee after fee after fee. This is highway robbery.....excuse the pun!!!! This is JUST WRONG so what can be done???? Both THEA & the Atty.says NOTHING can be done & I have topay it.
