Allchin, M.D., individually and as employee/agent of Comprehensive Psychiatric Services, Defendants. In his psychiatric malpractice lawsuit filed on March 3, 2000, Mr. M claimed that between January 17, 1991 up to November 6, 1992, (the date of his retarded and depressed 26-year-old son's death) Dr. Allchin over prescribed or failed to limit the medications Xanax (alprazolam) and Prozac (fluoxetine) prescribed to him which apparently caused an unintentional overdose while mixing them with copious amounts of alcohol. This suit was settled for $275,000 on May 30, 2003.
