Complaint Review: ThinkandLose - Internet

I'm one of the Think and Lose coaches whose purpose is to help customers have a successful experience trying to lose weight after so many other programs have failed for them. It really makes me sad when someone feels they have had such a bad experience that they want to discourage others from even trying it. I'm writing to clarify some potential misunderstandings since we really try hard to give customers a program that works. Let me respond to what Mrs. C had to say: I'm sorry if it didn't work for you, but hypnosis without question has been proven to work in numerous medical and psychological areas - weight loss being one of the many. Hypnotheray has been a recognized techinique for more than 50 years throughout the medical communities. Don Mannarino has been doing this program for 30 years on a daily basis through major organizations like the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who have had incredible success so to call the program a fraud because it didn't work for you is just not accurate. Hypnosis is so relaxing that people do fall asleep some time. And you're correct that if you are fully asleep, it won't work effectively. That is why we give different length of sessions and also answer EVERY question that's asked at our Think and Lose Forum at www.thinkandlose.com to help you design the schedule that works for you. The coaches and Don himself respond directly to all questions sent since everyone is different. Some people listen once and their whole life changes where some take longer and tell us how glad they didn't give up a "day before the miracle". Others have been so disappointed so many times that they come in looking for it not too work and then it doesn't. You have to want it to work - your attitude is a huge part of it and if you feel it's impossible then it will be. I don't know if you asked for our help, but we would have been there for you. And this leads to how we structured the program so that it would be the furthest from a scam as possible. This is a free 30 day trial. If you keep it, you pay for it. If you decide to return it, then we refund the cost of the program AND the shipping charge. So, you only pay the shipping if you keep the program. Very few companies offer that. Most charge shipping whether you keep it or not. I truly don't know what else we can do to ensure that everyone feels they were given a fair shake, but it is as we state - it's a totally free 30 day trial. Quite honestly, I don't fully follow your complaint about the mp3 player, etc - but I will explain what we offer. The DVD is something that you may refer back to as time goes on since it covers a lot of areas and you may have different questions, etc in a month or even a year. The program also has the Think and Lose CD with 3 different weight loss sessions and a bonus CD to help increase energy. We also offer the package you're referring to which is called the "Platinum Package" which is 10 of Don's other programs (other than weight loss) on CD (such as "Love to Exercise", "Restful Nights", "Break Bad Habits", "Pain relief", etc. These programs are extremely popular. You get 10 programs for $59.95 when placing a new order and we give free shipping. So, that's $6 per program. Additionally, if you order this package we give a free mp3 player with all 10 of these topics also preloaded on the player and we also preload the Think and Lose weight loss sessions onto it plus the bonus sessions. So, you receive all this for $60 and if you don't love it, you can get your money back. Our customers truly love this package and feel it's a great deal (most mp3 players with nothing on it cost more than that). Some customers aren't interested in the other 10 programs, but want the preloaded player, so we also offer it with only the Think and Lose audio sessions for only $39.95. You referred to the Main Program that was going to be charged 30 days later for $49.90 (cost of the program plus shipping cost). Yes, the audio portion of the main program was also included on the mp3 player, but as mentioned the DVD is a critical part in addition to having the original CD's is preferred by most customers. If you only got the MP3 player, you don't have the entire program and wouldn't have the tools needed for success. We just add the weight loss audio sessions on the mp3 player, so you don't have to do it yourself, but it sounded like you had issue with that but I'm not sure why. And again, if you decide to return it you wouldn't be charged anything. I truly sympathize, because I think it's normal to have our guard up and assume the worst when we've been through so much in the past, but we have really tried to create a program that either works or doesn't cost you anything if it doesn't. We wish you could have gotten to know us better by visiting us at the message boards at our web site, but we know we can't make everyone happy.
