Whatever you do, don't sell your clothes through ThredUP. What a ripoff. And to top it all off, they charge you a fee for sending the clothes back to them, which was NOT mentioned. It was supposed to have been free. Here is MY experience with this horrible company:
I requested a clean-up kit from ThredUp.. Now, when I requested this kit, NOTHING was mentioned about them charging a ($4.99) fee to ship the clothes to them.
I sent in 10 bottoms, 13 tops, 3 dresses and 2 (brand new) thigh high boots..Alot of the items were brand new. If not new, they were in like-new condition. Long story short, I only received a $13.50 payout. That is NOT inlcuding the hidden return shipping fee, making it a lousy total of $8.51.
Now, here's the kicker. ThredUP accepted SEVENTEEN (17) of my items. They are selling these items for a total of $148.83. Something is seriously wrong with their figure and my payout amount. They are making a HUGE profit off of my clothes alone. How much of a profit are they making off of other "sellers" combined?
I strongly urge you to stay away from this company. Do NOT send your clothes to ThredUP for them to sell. They will rip you off and steal from you.
