Thrifty Car Rental BEWARE of Thrify's Wild Car promotion for compact car. What I got was a car with no trunk space to put two medium size suit cases. Houston Houston
When asked for a car with truck space, I got a Corolla, but with a fee that was double the original rate. Horrible experience. Make sure, you know exactly what you are getting. Better to avoid this type of businesses that take advantage of their customers. I regret renting from them, never will no near Thrifty.
Ripped-Off by Thrifty Car Rental at Houston Airport on June 24th, 2016. They fooled me by a Wild Car Promoton offer where I was promised a compact or larger vehicle for 2 days for $46. I fell for it and when arrived I got a tiny car with no trunk space to place to medium size suit cases. When I asked for a vehicle with a full size trunk space, they gave me a Corolla but charged for an additiaonl $49 for two days. What a Ripp-Off. Beware of this company. Don't go anywhere near them.

You were given a special rate for a "Compact". What exactly do you think that means? That you would get a full sized SUV with enough room for 9? Of course not that would be silly..right?
Since that was silly why would you expect anything more than a "compact". Yes, of course you say they say "or larger", and of course you are hoping for the "or larger" but they are going to give you the smallest car they have available...Just like any other rental agency would. So no this is not a RipOff. BTW $47 per day is still a decent price.
No, I do not now or have I ever worked for any Car Rental Agency. In fact I don't even use this company.
