I bought George Strait tickets on December 5th, 2007, for a grand total of $453. I was immediately sent a confirmation email which told me that my tickets would be shipped via Fed Ex within the next few days. I waited.

My card was charged the full amount two days later, on December 7th. Still no shipping email. I waited.

A week after placing the order, I called the number listed on their site. After 40 minutes on hold, the line rang and a voice said "Event Tickets please hold" and I was immediately placed on hold again. After 20 more minutes, the voice returned and I explained that I hadn't gotten a shipping email and if I could possibly get the tickets by a particular date, as they were to be a present for my mother. I was put on hold while the agent found my file. 20 minutes later, the agent comes back and tells me that the tickets had "already been sold". That my order came in just "a little too late."

The agent offered me other tickets at the same price, but I declined saying I wanted nothing more to do with the company and that I just wanted my money back.

Two days later I wrote an email to the customer support asking these questions:

Why, if the tickets were already sold, was my card charged a full TWO DAYS after my order was placed?

The Terms and Conditions on the site state that if tickets are unavailable, a ticketsmyway.com agent will contact the customer via email to work something out. I was never contacted. Why did I have to call them to find out?

Why only after I called did my order status change from "processing" to "please call"?

If a ticketsmyway.com agent is supposed to contact the customer via email, why even change the status to "please call"? Why must the customer call, instead of being notified of the issue via email?

The only response I recieved was stating that my refund had been issued on the 12th, and it would take 48-72 hours to post. None of my questions were answered in the slightest.

Thanks to Craigslist, I was able to get tickets to the concert, at roughly the same price I would have paid for this scam site. And yes, I did recieve my money back, though I will be keeping an eye on my bank account in case it magically disappears again.

And I still haven't gotten my questions answered.
