On the same day that comedian Tig Notaro began telling audiences of her cancer, she had her kickstarter project funded.
She was awarded ten thousand dollars by trusting donors.
Ms. Notaro had proposed a short film called “Clown Service.” Sarah Silverman's boyfriend, Kyle Dunnigan, was set to co-star. She claimed that Ronnie Pickering was to be the director.
The tape she made was very short on any details i.e how the project would progress. What the money would be needed for. The rewards were grandiose i.e you had to put her up in 4 star accomodations.
Notaro relentlessly promoted the project on Facebook, as well as on twitter and various comedy-related websites. Her rabid and disturbed fan, Evita Rush, seemed desperate to get this thing funded.
Though it was looking grim, somehow Notaro managed to get the ten thousand dollrars by August 3rd 2012. This was the same day she'd announce her cancer diagnosis to an audience seeking comedy.
Her funders must have figured she was facing a long hard road. Stage 2 agressive cancer for a 41 year old female is a challenging diagnosis. Thsee funders must have given her the benefit of the doubt. If anyone guessed at a long hard road, they were wrong. Notaro was given a clean bill of health, and only a 7 percent chance that the cancer would even recurr.
At least that is what she told Fresh Air's Terry Gross. Notaro claims to love that she had cancer and has not suffered any health challenges at all. In fact, she claims great health and has been chuckling wildly, all the way to the back. She signed a book deal even, when drugged up according to Time Magazines Libby Waxman. But, that is another rip off.
I have read online that her funders have contacted Ms. Notaro's "personl assistant," Aaron Burrel and they got no response. I am convinced that Ms. Notaro had no intention of completing the film, or sending the promised rewards.
Louis CK and her have also promised that the money that was spent on Notaro's "Live" tape would go to "cancer charities." But, no evidence of this exists. It appears that Lance Armstrong and Ms. Notaro teamed up to milk her alleged cancer, but that due to his failed comeback, this never came to pass.
Ms Notaro has a history of perpetuating elaborate frauds. Frauds that she keeps getting away with.
I think the least she can do is answer questions about this Kickstarter Project, and why she and Louis CK promised funds to cancer charities, and have not delivered. Now, Notaro claims to donate to gay charities and this doesn't make much good sense.

This report was made in 2013 immediately following the events named in this report. Three years has passed and much more info has come to light. I dispute specifically the point made about the severity of Tig's cancer. Tig has been well documented of undergoing a double mastectomy, experiencing a tax on her body due to various medications, and on-going appointments to ensure cancer is still dormant - more than an average check up for a healthy adult. These points are further illustrated in the 2015 documentary "Tig" which follows her through multiple treatments and documents all items above. Free on Netflix. "Clown Service" was made into a short film in 2015. On the podcast Professor Blastoff which Tig co-hosted at the time indicated that the director originally slated was unable to commit to the film and the delays largely surrounded this point until Notaro assumed the role herself. I hope you'll see the three years of documented information concerning this report are evidence to counter some if not all of your points. Your personal attacks on Tig's character were particularly upsetting, however the above rebuttles are all I can reasonably confirm. It is simply my belief that Tig is not as bad of person as you suggest.
