the rebates from items you purchase from Tiger Direct are not manufacturers rebates, but rebates from a company called OnRebate.com, which is owned by Systemax Inc. Tiger Direct is also a subsidiary of Systemax Inc. In other words, Systemax Inc. owns Tiger Direct and OnRebate.com, meaning it is Systemax Inc. that is denying your rebates from the products you purchased from them through Tiger Direct. Talk about having a vested interest. The employees respond to these ROR postings claiming to offer help and never follow through. As I'm sure many OP have found out. Thought I would throw out this info to let you know what is really going on and why and who is behind it. It seems like a conspiracy and more than likely it is. A press release issued by parent company Systemax Inc. on November 7th, 2007 is entitled, "SYSTEMAX REPORTS RECORD THIRD QUARTER RESULTS." I'm sure some of those record 3rd quarter profits come from rebates they don't honor. The press release can be found here: http://www.systemax.com/releases/PressReleaseQ307FINAL.pdf The Systemax website: http://www.systemax.com/ The OnRebate website: http://www.onrebate.com/index.aspx OnRebate faq (pay attention to the very first question, "Who is OnRebate.com?" This answer will give you the parent company of OnRebate): http://www.onrebate.com/index.aspx
