Timothy Blake Brandon Kelly, Brandon Kelley Craigslist scam - Motorcycle advertised Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Advertising in the Tulsa, OK Craigslist offering a motorcycle at a price that is way too good to be true. Seller claims the following:
This bike will make you proud,the price is $2,880. It is in excellent condition, never been involved in accidents,1500cc ,16,703 miles, VIN: 1HFSC3435WA100951, clean and clear title,no mechanical problems,no scratches,flaws or any kind of damage,all functional and it will need nothing in the near future. I have the bike sealed at DAS terminal in Philadelphia,PA ready to be shipped out will take 4-5 days through DAS and it will be free,my previous buyer(his loan did not get approved)already paid for it and DAS didn't want to refund him the shipping fee. I cannot meet face2face I have a new job in Tucson, AZ I would like to use Autotrader Vehicle Purchase to take care of this deal, smooth and safe. On 04/02/2010 I was looking on Craigslist for a motorcycle to buy and may have possibly experienced the same scam. Sorry to be missing some important info but I'm not sure if I was under the Kentucky or Ohio listings, however it did show to be in Loveland, Ohio and the email address to contact for any further info was [email protected]. The listing showed a 2004 Honda VTX 1300 for sale for what seemed to be a mistake, however it stated something like, "Priced for fast sell". The listing didn't have a phone contact but did have an email address so I sent an email simply asking if they still had the bike for sale and if they could contact me via my cell phone at their earliest convenience to discuss the bike. Here's the response I have received back from this individual. When I received this email and no call I became very suspicious and googled the Auto Trader which led me to find this site and Mr. Kelley's name reported on already. I haven't bothered to reply back to them after this finding but I do hope that they can be stopped somehow before they do get someone.
The price is $2,800!
