Store Manager you have not called me back as you said you would and I doubt that you ever will, so the following action becomes necessary! Keep in mind that the mileage I put on these Bridgestone Potenza tires since I approached you personally with the problem in August was less than 8000 miles and I have spent over twenty trips to your store with you since the to fix the problem. I have spent money to make repairs and do further analysis of what was wrong with the tires. I have driven many rough highway miles trying to figure out what the problem was with these tires when you agreed to unequivocally fix the problem. I made a visit to your store right after I bought the tires and they rebalanced the tires then telling me to go home and see how they were. I complained frequently about the tires since then and have been toldget them worn inlets rotate them and see if that fixes the problem lets rebalance them, etc. Everything but replace the tires! Since this car was not driven that much by me and didn't get over 45 miles an hour it took longer for the problem to become more evident. But when it did I brought the problem to you and it has been ignored.

As you stated today I purchased this set of tires from you one year and one month ago. But I also have been coming back to your store for one year and one month to complain about the roughness and vibration in these tires when I get above 45 miles per hour which I do rarely here in town. You went into the computer and could find only three or four times where I have had further service done on my 2005 Honda Accord and what you don't have is the number of unofficial visits I have made to complain and see what can be done about these tires. Think how many times I have been in to your store when you were there and even those times when you weren't since August 2008 when I started this attempt to fix this tire problem with you and those visits did not get recorded as an official service visit. What would you estimate, fifteen or twenty times I have come in and stood around while you wait on everyone else and then would take care of me? That estimate also doesn't count the number of times I have seen the asst. Charles and other personnel. Nor does it take in to account the number of times I have taken these tires to other places for adjustment or visited other tire stores when I make trips out of town.

You may recall that my trip to Florida in August is what precipitated this demand by me for better customer service from you. As I explained a tire store in Florida examined the Bridgestone Potenza G009's and told me the problem was that they were out of round. To fix this problem you have had me in four times since August to balance the tires to no avail. It was at this point you said I could exchange the tires for a new set that we would swap out evenly and you even told the same story to **** who asked you how you were going to adjust the price so that I would not have to pay anything and you said you had a way. Since you offered I opted for the Bridgestone Serenity which was not a performance tire, but more of an easier riding touring tire. That was the last time you told me that if you're current rebalancing didn't fix the tires you were going to replace them. It made some improvement but not enough and as we agreed I called you back, just like I called Charles the time before and opted for a new tire that he never called me back on. That was the fiasco where I came in for the (1) tire to be exchanged and *****wanted to charge me and additional $65 dollars for the tire. In fact, I even made two trips into the store (unrecorded) to tell you I would be willing to exchange the (4) tires.

When you and I discussed exchanging the (4) tires you made two suggestions about replacements and I wanted to research the tires and see what the best tire for my automobile would be before I made the decision. I had to call you twice to tell you which (4) tires I preferred and you had me call you again to remind you to order the tires on Monday. I did and you said you would call me on Friday to do the exchange, I didn't hear from you. The following Monday 11-24-2008 I saw the tire truck unloading at your store and stopped by to talk with you. You waited on everyone else while I waited and that is when you reverted back into a lack of integrity while pouring over the computer for a long period of time and started saying things likewell, it's been a year and one month since you bought the tiresand my records show you have only been into the store about three or four times! The real kicker was when you told me I was going to have to pay almost an additional $200 for the new set of tires. Now why would I pay your $200 extra and the money I have already paid for a new set of Bridgestone Potenza G009 which was around $600 dollars for a grand total of $800 for a reasonable set of tires I should have received in perfect shape in the first place? That price included your labor and parts. Your tires were defunct out the door which meant your labor was bogus and so where your parts! They still are. In fact, does my mileage not reflect the mileage I have spent trying to get you to fix these tires? How about my time and lost wages? I am a professional and bill at $*** an hour and I am losing a living wage by having to make these repeated trips in to your store to get you to do the right thing and to stand around in order to get a product that was not right out of your door the first time I drove them. If you eat half a poisoned hamburger who is going to make you pay for what you ate and the expense you had to go to remedy yourself? Only you and Tires Plus!

I am not going to come in for any more rebalancing attempts to fix the problem, or have another manager or corporate personnel tell me there is nothing wrong with these tires. I am not going to lose any more billable hours or wage, waste my time standing around while you rebalance the tires or listen to your false promises. You said you were going to do something about these tires and you didn't, you used it as a sales opportunity to make an additional $200 that is the bottom line! I have had a major problem out the door and you and your company Tires Plus has tried to fend me away by doing everything except the right thing and that was to replace these tires in spite of your implied guarantee to do so.

In my opinion you have shown a callous disregard for your customers, you have provided poor customer service, you have demonstrated a lack of integrity and ethics and you have treated me with ignorance and arrogance. I do not appreciate either. This is my letter of Demand and if you chose to not fix the problem equitably I will be forced to choose from my legal alternatives to remedy this problem.

Paid $950 for tires I could have got at Cotsco for $600

The resolution to this problem was that I wanted the better tire than these Potenza's so I went with the Michelin Primacy. I had to pay an extra $40 dollars a tire which put my grand total for a set of tires through Tires Plus at around $950. Before the put them on I went to Cotsco and the tires were $670 with everything and they gave me an $80 dollar coupon to use. That would have made this set of tires under $600. I was require to pay this price because they said this was the difference between what I paid for a tire and what the new tire price would be, which made no sense. I paid originally $750 for a defective set of Potenza's and then I had to pay an additional $180 for the Michelins. So who got screwed here? By the way when I had the tires replaced I locked my car and gave it to the manager. When I came back and got my car it was locked. A few days later I noticed that my GPS unit that was locked in the glove box and my laptop that was in the trunk were missing. I took the car nowhere but home and then back to the shop to report the robbery. The assistant manager wanted to know why I had taken so long to make the claim,,,,unnnhh! Filed a police report and now I will take them to small claims court. Oh, the Primacy's ride great and I will be shopping at Cotsco from now on. And by the way this is my second set of defective Bridgestones and they use to be a good tire. Take my warning, you are never going to get a true warranty on tires. They will talk this bullcrap about pro rating even though you have a limited warranty that says it will replace defective tires. Not so. Tires Plus is about the money. Run....

What size tires?

You don't say, but it really doesn't matter anyway. The tires you bought are really nothing more than a rubber strip wrapped around the rim. They have absolutely no sidewall to absorb road impacts, and every bit of the road feel is transmitted directly through the suspension. I'll assume you also lowered the vehicle thereby eliminating even more of the vehicles' ability to absorb shock. Good job. You will never get a decent ride from those type of tires. Don't bother telling me how great the last set of rubber strips rode, because I've done this job long enough to know the truth. They ALL ride like a buckboard on a gravel path. TP knows this, and it's the reason they are pretty much ignoring your complaints. If you want the vehicle to ride like new, then put the proper size tires on it, and get rid of the lowering kit so the suspension operates the way the factory wanted it to.
