So found this company at the Oshawa Mall, and needed to have this type of service done. Booked the appointment, and had Brian come out for a quote for 2 sofas which are just faded from sun, bought these 12 years ago, for approx $4000 for both. He was supposed to arrive between 3 - 6, he came at 5 geez
Brian drove in on his black mercedes GL, I thought why would a sales person be driving this? Is this the manger ?, but anyways not the the point so, I opened the door and no introduction from him, I had to ask if he was Brian from TMC, and no hand shake nothing. ........ VERY SURPRISED, STRIKE 1.
You know the adage, " you can a tell in the first few minutes if you are going to hire that candidate" well, NO JOB FOR HIM !! at this point.
Well I didn't like this, I thought at first, I would at least give him a chance after reading up on this company before he came by, especially the ripoffreport.com and Homestars website both are conflicting.
But, a lot of folks on here called it out, he was arrogant and rude. After this, I told him our budget was 40-60% of the inital cost of the items to have them reskinned otherwise I'll just buy new!. I asked him to give me a quote with a particular fabric from the samples. He quoted 3x the price, using the "best" materials in the world...... STRIKE 2.
He probably realized that this sale won't happen, and than he wanted us to believe that was the victim of his company and threw them under the bus in front of us. Called his own company non compassionate, so he asked that I talk to them and make up some excuse to not fulfill the whole quote spiel thats supposed to last 3 hours, even though he was LATE !!!! STRIKE 3.
If you're a new salesperson, and need training, call these calls for a quote and do the EXACT opposite, because I don't treat my customers in my business like this.
