TOGETHER DATING NEED HELP!! San Antonio Texas
I found this dating service on Facebook. It is VERY deceiving! You have no idea what the procedures are as you begin filling out the required info. In other words, I thought it would be like most where you submit some general info and then are brought to the site so you can see other people, and get cost info, etc. It wasn't until I have completed it that I realized they were going to CALL me! About 4 days later, I received a call from them and since I was literally in the neighborhood to their office, I agreed to come in for a consult.
Long story short - That was last night - 12/27/08. I spent 2.5 hours meeting with a "counselor" and by the end of our meeting, she had me convinced how great she thought I was, and she even shared (supposedly) personal info about herself and family, etc. Really created a nice, warm fuzzy for me. I ended up signing a contract and got the same, basic info as the rest of the people here have mentioned. When I got up this morning, I decided I needed to do some research on this service and, VIOLA! Here are scads of very disturbing reports about their deceptive practices!
I have called this morning and left a message for my "counselor" to call me. From what I have read here, it doesn't seem likely that she is going to call me back. However, I will try to contact her again today (I can be very convincing myself), and attempt to get out of my contract. Again, from the sounds of things, it doesn't appear that will happen.
What I am seeking here is someone to contact me with information on legal action that I can begin immediately in order to be released from this contract. I have thought about closing out my bank account and opening a new one so that the automatic drafts are not deducted my my account. Not sure what that means for me legally. Anyhow, someone PLEASE get in touch with me. Thank you (((ROR REDACTED)))
