Top Free Gifts ripoff Scam promising $250 gift card for completing offers San Carlos California
on 3/3/05 I received an ad from top free gift promising a $250 gift card for completing various offers. You had to complete a total of 3 offers. One offer from group 1, 1 offer from group 2, and 1 offer from group 3. From group 1 I completed offers for netmarket, and ink blvd. These showed completed on 3/3, and 3/7. For group 2 I completed an offer for AOL netmarket. This also showed complete on 3/7. For group 3 I completed an offer for Citi platinum credit card. For this you had to make a purchase or balance transfer. I made a purchase and have since paid of the balance. I received confirmation for email that I had been approved for this item, but they have yet to show it completed on their website.
I have filled out many, many email requests and kept getting a form letter back stating that you needed to wait 30 days so I did, then I emailed again and again and the response was that you needed to wait 60 days for credit cards, so I did. Now I have emailed again and again. Finally I get a response from Angela stating that I needed to fax over the welcome letter and statement from citi, so I did. I received an email about 2 days later stating that they had received my fax and that my offer would be manually creditted within 10-15 days. Again nothing happened so I emailed AGAIN. I now get a vague email stating that they were reveiwing my offers and a response would be coming soon.
This is such crap. I am writing this so if anybody else is having questions or issues with Top FreeGifts that they know they are not in this alone. I am also filing a report with the California Better Business Bureau on this company for FRAUD.
