Townecraft - Townecraft Credit - Chip Watkins ripoff Glenn Rock New Jersey
My incident happened when my "FRIEND" was bragging about how wonderful the townecraft cookware was and asked me to come to a dinner at her house where Chip would be there. My best friend and I were interested and went to the dinner where I also fell to Mr. Watkins scam. Note: at the time my "FRIEND" was being paid for selling the cookware and having dinners!!
I was told by Chip that he would make the down payment on the deluxe set that I ordered and mind you never got I was sent a USED set (that was reposessed from someone)of pots and pans some didn't have handles and some didnt' even have lids and were nasty. I called my "FRIEND" because Chip never gave me his number and asked why I had been sent a Used set and why all the pcs. were not their and she then called him therefore to return the call to me and said that I would be sent a New set. The agreement was when I signed the contract that I would have dinners in my area and that my payment for the cookware would come from the sells that I made. Mind you Chip never ever made and effort to contact me to train in doing these dinners. He did promise to come to my area and go with me to different housing areas to get things started.
I was never sent any flyers, bussiness cards, etc. I contacted townecraft after being notified by the accts. dept. at Townecraft who told me that he needed a payment I then told him that I was suppose to be having dinners and that my payments were suppose to come out of my commission, but that no effort had been made by Chip to train me in that area. I continued to get harrassing phone calls, letters, and threats from Townecraft where my husband then called Chip and showed his butt to him, everything was fine for a lil while phone calls, letters, and threats stopped for a lil while until I received a letter from a lawyer representing Townecraft stating that I was going to be sued if I did not make an immediate payment of the $4900 (deluxe set)
My husband called Townecraft home office NOT CHIP and told them what was going on and that if they persued a lawsuit against me that we would sue them plus report them to the better bussiness bureau. I have since been sent a letter from Townecraft that I only owed them $12.
BEWARE FOLKS CHIP WATKINS ONLY TELLS YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR!! YOU GET THEIR YOU ARE WOWED BY THIS COOKWARE AND YOU GIVE IN TO THE TREMENDOUS OFFERS THAT HE MAKES TO YOU AND THEN YOU GET SCREWED RIGHT SQUARE IN THE BUTT.
BY THE WAY HE ALSO WROTE BAD CHECKS TO MY "FRIEND" TO PAY HER THE COMMISSION THAT SHE WAS OWED.

when you folks post these things remember townecraft isnt the bad guy. townecraft is a business. they have rules. the cookware is the best. use it get out of it what it has to offer. it save you health time and you never need to buy cookware again. i save 100 dollars a month using my cookware.
