Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My wife and I purchased a 1986 Toyota Motorhome from this dealedship. Toyota of Lompoc. Upon asking questions about the motorhome we were told the refridgerator was fine and only needed to be "burped". Upon taking it to a certified motor home repair man with over 20 years experience we were told this was an old wives tale and a laughable excuse offered by the dealer.

We were also told the brakes were fine! Upon having a Midas brake shop perform an inspection they found the front rotors were too thin and beyond the legal limit! This was prooven by measuring the thickness of the rotors.

We mentioned some dirt inside of the upper bed part of the motorohome. Again we were told this was minor. The motorhome technician found major dry rot and roof damage and leakage which resulted in 3500.00 of repair work. The aforementioned motorhome refridgerator was 1000.00 parts and labor. The air conditioning also required repairs to the tune of 300.00. The radiator was over 50 % plugged and the motorhome was overheating on our first trip. This resulted in our putting a new radiator in right away.

We called Toyota and asked them to take it on a trade in towards a brand new vehicle? They informed us to bring our receipt with us, Make the 1 hour drive and they would work with us. We arrived and test drove a new Prius, they asked for a deposit and when we asked if they were going to help make things right with our motorhome problems? They told us to sell it ourselves, "they coould not sell it" and that "they would not take it on a trade' they asked how we arrived at our asking price? we informed them by the purchase price as well as all of the repair receipt which we brought with us. They never even asked to see the receipts.

Again we stressed we had driven all this way in an effort to make this sour deal a fair one for both parties. They shunned us and said they were sorry they WOULND'T help us. I told them they would be sorry as I would file a RIP OFF REPORT!!! Whatever you do? Avoid this Toyota Dealer!!!! My wife and I have been lied to,taken advantage of,manipulated, and treated with the upmost disrespect possible. All the time they knew we drove all the way to make a trade in and yet they failed to even make us an offer on our motorhome. Instead they said we should sell it on our own and still buy a brand new car from them!

foundation is based on FRAUD, DECEPTION, LIES, MANIPULATION, GREED, DEEP CORRUPTION, EVIL, & the CONSTANT PURSUIT TO FINANCIALLY INJURE THE INNOCENT! Most of the TRUE Americans are all gone- the American Indians. These were the people who knew how to live the right way. Then one day, a boat came over in 1492, & all of the problems started!!! I'm sure you've read all about it. Now we have Wall Street, Toyota Dealerships, Banks, Auto Manufacturers, Mortgage Companies, the Mainstream Media, Ad Agencies, Electronics Companies, the Military, our wonderful Politicians, CEO's, COO's, CFO's, Lobbiests................Lawyers, Judges, & a host of others that have made this country so great, & so strong?????????????? First of all "greg" this Toyota dealership has won Toyota's Customer Relations Excellence award for the past eight years in a row. And I don't see anybody else writing rip off reports about the dealership. Secondly, if you were looking for a motorhome why would you purchase one from a established automobile company as opposed to an RV/Motorhome dealership. Realistically speaking many people who buy vehicles like to have the vehicle that they are purchasing inspected by a trusted mechanic that they personally know. It doesn't sound like this was done before the transaction. Thirdly it seems as if you didn't even attempt to follow the salesman advice of burping your refrigerator. Instead you took it directly to a certified sales motorhome mechanic of twenty years... It seems like you could have save $4,800 just by researching the motorhome you were purchasing before you signed the paperwork. Finally, I don't think the dealership though it was a sour deal if they didn't let you trade in the motorhome they just sold you. Why would you let them do that to you? I have purchased many vehicles from Toyota Of Lompoc. I always made sure for myself that I was getting the best deal possible and making sure that it was fair for both parties before I signed a contract. I strongly recommend this dealership to anybody who is looking for a new or used vehicle they are easy to get along with and very personable. Better Luck next time "greg" Beauford Santa Ynez
