I was just browsing the web today when I stumbled across this rip-off report website and out of curiosity I searched for what had been said for Toys R Us and I found yours. Now, I know you said that you didn't want to hear from any TRU employees but I'm completly on your side. I believe in quality customer service and try to do my best on a day to day basis in my own store. As I was reading your post, I too thought it sounded like the associate who rang you up switched the gift cards and I am apauled at the way you were treated. If you haven't already I would call 1-800-ToysRUs or go to the website and file a complaint. You DESERVE better guest service and you have every right to have that gift card. I know it can't fix the situtation, but I apologize on behalf of Toys R Us for the way you were treated. I don't blame you for never shopping at a Toys R Us again, but I want you to know there are some people who do care. I hope everything works out for you
