I purchased a Tracfone over 2 years ago for my wife to use in case of emergencies. I bought a 60 minute card and had it activated, before the required time had expired, I heard an add on Paul Harvey saying I could make sure my wife's service would never be disconnected by signing up for Autopay at a cost of $7.99 per month. With her not using it much, I thought it would be great because I would not have to buy more time until I needed to. Tracfone took my information and deducted the 7.99 once from our account. I heard nothing for a few months and no deductions were made. Out of the blue my wife gets a call saying her service was being disconnected unless she purchased more time. Telling the person on the other end, we had signed up for Autopay. Tracphone had no record but would get it straightened out and not disconnect her service. Took the infromation again and, again no deductions. This happened 3 times, finally my wife purshased the minimal amout of time to get thing straight. The man she spoke to gave her 100 free minutes for the inconvenience. Again we get the notice on her phone hat as of 2/1/07, her service is gone again. I have e-mail them twice and get the standard "sorry for the inconvenience" line, please call office between 1 & 6 PM.

I called, spoke to a lady who very kind but could not help me. She said the records showed, we never signed up for Autopay.

I asked her who had my bank information, she said I would have to tal to AL and went somewher to get him, but came back and told me Al had just gone into a meeting. I left a number So Al could call me back, have this funny feeling.......

Phone is going to the bottom of the pool and the water is too cold to go after it.

And then wonder why the phone is going to be turned off? Why didn't you call Tracfone up as soon as you noticed that you weren't being billed? Also as a former Tracfone owner, the best thing for you to do since your wife doesn't use the phone much, is to purchase the year long activation card. That's what I use to buy, a yearlong of service plus 100 minutes for $100. (and I just checked the tracfone website and they are having big deals on the year long cards. You really should check it out.) Good luck!
