I ordered a tracfone for my mother for christmas on Dec 5th, 2006 for $39.99. Instead of putting 4704 as the address I put 4707 thus not receiving my phone. When I saw this error since the phone had not been received yet I called tracfone. They indicated the phone and accessories would be returned to them to give it 2 weeks and they would issue the refund. They would not resend the phone until this was resolved. I asked for locations to buy the phone and a refund. At this time that was not a problem.

I checked back in the beginning of January and they had received the phone on Dec 19, 2006. They would be refunding the money since I got another phone.

I checked back again in one week, they had not refunded the money and they said that it would be resolved in 24-48 hours.

I waited another week, I called again and the said it would be escalated to their Supervisor and she, Laura indicated it would be resolved with my refund in 24-48 hours.

I received $16 in a refund, and called tracfone for the remainder, they asked if I had the phone. No, I never received it and explained the entire scenario, the person escalated it to another supervisor who said it would be resolved or I would get a call in 24 - 48 hours. 6 days passed, no call no resolution.

I called again last week (beginning of Feb) and again I was asked if I had the phone, No - I do not and explained yet again my issue and that I wanted my 24.99 back. They would escalate it again and I would get a resolution in 24 hours. I asked to speak to said Supervisor, his name was Daniel and to call him personally at 800-339-93445 x53827 and he would resolve it within 24-48 hours. I waited and called today 2/6/7, not only could I not get a live person until I just kept pushing buttons, the person who answered did not know that extension.

So I repeated my story in a rather heated voice. Suddenly he could transfer me to that extension but could not guarentee he would answer. He came back and Daniel could not be reached.

I asked him to give me a supervisor. I told her the story again and she transferred me to another person who, "could take care of it." I was disconnected.

I called back explained yet another time and somehow magically was disconnected again.

This brings me to you and the BBB. I found a phone number to the Miami office and called it to get a recording. I left a message with a brief scenario of the situation demanding a call back.
