Tracfone unable to access voice mail; long distance disconnected; disconnected from customer service reps repeatedly; failed to give out Corporate Office phone number; Complaint voiced through U.S. mail and email ignored Miami Florida
Initially I contacted Tracphone with the complaint of not being able to access voice mail from my cell. Pushing buttons did not interrupt the menu. The only thing it did was eat up my minutes. It was as if I had a rotary phone. I began contacting Tracphone to report this problem September 21, 2004. The problem then multiplied, and got progressively worse.
Now the problem became I couldn't access my voice mail from either a landline or my Tracfone. All received messages just sat on my phone, and eventually dropped off, as I had no way of retreiving them. Did I mention this happened at a time when I was traveling and really needed to have a full functioning cell?
After over a dozen calls, I could finally access my voice mail from a land line phone, however my long distance service was temporary disconnected, then reconnected, then disconnected again. This see-saw action was to happen twice more.
Even after over two dozen calls to Customer Service (9/21/04 - approximately October 20th), a letter to corporate, and three emails, the original problem of accessing my voice mail from my Tracfone was never resolved.
Along the way, I racked up TEN case numbers; spoke to God knows how many supervisors; got "mysteriously" disconnected three times; spent countless time "holding" for resolution; and burned up minutes following their "instructions" over and over.
