I am writing to protect others that deal with Transcontinental Autos in Ft Lauderdale from being ripped off. Three years ago  I bought a car from them. The owner told me my car was a 2005 . When we sat down to finalize the paperwork it turned out the car was a 2002. He told me he would give me a two month discount in the end for $485 for the last two moinths ($970 total). Every month when I went in his wife or employee would show me the discount was on my paperwork. When I went to trade my car in he told me he had a great car for me with 130,000 miles. It turned out he lied again as the car had 188,000 miles. He tried to convince me it was ok and how great it rode. The car was valued everywhere in town at $8000 though he was going to do me a favor and sell it to me for $15,000.  When I saw he was trying to rip me off again I found out he removed my discount and told me he knew nothing about it.

I wondered why he locked his front doors and I had to ring a bell to come in. It has to be due to all the people he has ripped off that come to complain. If you buy a car or pickup from him he will either rip you off in the beginning or the end. Since this happened I have spoken to many people this man has ripped off. He takes advantage of people who are financially hurting and want a new start with their credit. He will rip you off one way or the other. Buy a pick up or car from Rafiel at your own risk. I just hired an attorney as I hope his wife and employee will not lie under oath. With these type people you never know.

At the time of purchase you knew the car was a 2002 yet you agreed to the purchase; therefore, the sale was not a rip-off. An attorney can do nothing to help you.

Is the $970 discount noted in your copy of the agreement? If not, an attorney can do nothing to help you. A $970 discount is peanuts to offset a three-year older car.

At the time of purchase of the second vehicle you knew the mileage yet you agreed to the purchase; therefore, the sale was not a rip-off. An attorney can do nothing to help you.

Sellers [of any merchandise] are not obligated to sell their products at or below market value; therefore, the sale was not a rip-off and an attorney can do nothing to help you.
