TransUnion TU Rip-Off Cannot Get My Own Credit Report Or Talk To A Real Human Being! Trans Union has a block on my credit report and I can't get it off or even get a copy of my report Chester Pennsylvania
It all started pretty simply. I wanted to get a copy of all three of my credit reports from TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. I went to myFICO.com and ordered the 3 reports. I couldn't get TU because there was a "bureau block" on my report and was told to call an 800 number. All lady at myFICO could tell me was I had to contact TU directly and she gave me their 800 number. This is where the misery began. I called number after number being referred around. Only ONCE did I get a really human being on the phone and he spoke so little English it was awful and he said he couldn't help me if I didn't have some report number. Well how can I get the report number if I can't get the report? I kept asking him if there was a number he could give me where I could talk to a HUMAN BEING! Every number I called all I got was a bunch of computerized menus. I finally did their automated thing and ordered my credit report. They charged me immediately but I NEVER got the report. When I called my bank to report this they said the reference number was the same number I had called before and I was back to the same thing of not being able to talk to a human being. I even got a voice recognition program that asked me to say my ZIP code but it wouldn't recognize it no matter how slow and loud or fast or whatever I'd say it and it would hang up after five tries. I finally got a copy of my TU report through truecredit.com. I'm not sure if this report is even correct though because the scores from truecredit for Experian and Equifax are quite different. I've pretty much given up on trying to get whatever block I have on my TU report but I think I should have the right to get my own friggin' credit report or at least talk to an intelligible person about why I can't get it.
