Travel Values Plus, linked From Classmates.com, discovered that my credit card has been tapped for $48 in each of the last 8 years!! Internet
while paying my credit card statement today (11/08/2008) i noticed a charge of $48.00 from travel values plus. there was a toll free phone number next to the statement entry. when i called this # i found out that this charge has been occurring annually for the last 8 years!!
i also was informed that this "membership" had been generated through the classmates .com website. i firmly told them that i had never authorized these charges or becoming a memberof their "club". i then adamently told them that i expected them to reimburse my credit card account for each of the 8 charges that had i had not previously detected when paying my bill.
i was assured that a credit would be issued to my card account "within the next 3-5 business days". i insisted on e-mail verification of this and did promptly receive an e-mail that confirmed their intent to reimburse and provided me with a cancellation confirmation # of 939426. i had also requested that the representative also provide their name and/or employee id# which the lady assured me that she would do, but did not!!
i am now anxiously awaiting confirmation of this credit to my account and will contact your organization to inform you of the outcome
