Travelocity Travelocity Low Price Guarantee is Fake San Diego California
I booked a hotel with Travelocity. Within 24 hours I found I could book with the hotel directly for less money. I called Travelocity and asked that they exercise the Travelocity Low Price Guarantee. They refused to meet the hotel's price, stating that Travelocity "buys rooms in buld and this is the best price they can offer." Further, they charged me $25 to cancel the reservation after refusing to honor the Travelocity Low Price Guarantee.
Summary: do not book hotels thru Travelocity. Book with the hotels directly for a better price. The Travelocity Low Price Guarantee is fake.

Hello - I posted report #451037, Titled "Travelocity Price Guarantee is Fake." In fairness to Travelocity, I submitted an email to Travelocity Customer Service ([email protected]) requesting a refund of the $25 reservation cancellation fee. Travelocity granted my request for a refund! They were very polite and prompt in their response. WAY TO GO TRAVELOCITY! Maybe the way to get a problem resolved is by e-mail instead of phone? Dave H.
