Booked a hotel room ( non- smoking ) Was told it was on the beach, with a kitchennett, wi-fi, at a resort hotel. When we arrived, it was not on the beach. We checked in, our room was 111, it was located on the ground floor, with concrete floors with tile throughout, a mini fridge, a microwave, one room and a extra small bathroom. The room was like a hotel that was 30 years old that had had no maint. The only wifi was in the lobby.  There was kareoke being preformed as we entered our room. Our room if you exited it was partially in the outdoor bar, and in the parking lot, there was a table and chairs where people sat that you either almost bumped into the chairs, or into the people sitting there smoking. The smoke, that was being drawn into our room through the air conditioner which was by the table. We went to the desk and complained. Music wil stop at !0:00 no other rooms. After the music stopped the clean-up lasted til approximately 12:00 midnight, then bar/resteraunt employees sat there and smoked and talked until...... Called Travelscape at 800-394-1454 was on the phone several times with numerous employees many disconnects finnally a supervissor told me there was no other place to move us as we requested, and that we would have to stay until the next day so that they could work out refunds with the management.(witch was our scheduled checkout). Was told that I would have to speak with the manager, and then call Travelscape while with the manager was with me. The second night was a two man band same thing all over. loud noisey, then the cleanup/ talk and smoke session. Found out while I was in the office with my complaints that the rooms were actually $189.00 a night.Travelscape tells you you get a 30% savings off the hotels price, which I have confirmed again after our stay on the phone pretending to need a booking, and that they would never exceed the hotels regular price. We were charged $265.60 a night plus taxes and service fees. Two nights were $604.24. Ripped off all the way around. When I arrived home I called Expedia, which acknowledges that travelscape is under their umbrella. but sorry we cannot access their information, and we cannot help with problems with them. You have to call them, but the best sollution is to call your bank and dispute the charges. By the way the TSP Travel, and the hotel where I stayed ( Beachside Resort Gulf Shores Alabama), are both India compaines. Convienient right!
