I had an accident this past January, hit some black ice and crashed into a concrete median on I-40, caused about $3100. damage to my vehicle.

My insurance company came out the next day, wrote me a bank draft which required my loan holder to co-sign. They (Roadloans) still have the check and I still have a wrecked vehicle.

I thought insurance was for the owner, not the loan company. I am the one who paid the premiums all these years, NOT ROADLOANS!

Sue, This is what you do. Call the insurance company that issued you the check and tell them that you want them to put a stop-payment on it, and that you want them to pay the collision shop directly. They will do this for you. The reason that they required both you and Triad to sign the check is because state law requires that the insurance company makes sure the car is repaired when it's financed. Paying the Collision shop directly will also accomplish this, and make it much more convenient for you.
