I purchased a sample product for $4.95 with no futher obligations on 8/31/03. On 9/14/03 my credit card was charged an additional $38.94.
When I called I found out that in the small print there was a clause that said I was on an automatic mailing program for the product unless I cancelled within a certain amount of time. I have gone back to that order form and still can not find that instruction.
The company has agreed to credit back $29.99 for the product if I will return it. However they insist on charging me $8.95 to cover shipping. This is nuts. I shouldn't be charged anything or perhaps a small handling fee. They have a program that says a sample will be sent for $3.97 and there is not any further obligation. This is obviuosly the amount of money it takes to handle your order and sounds like a more fair amount to be charged.
