Tristar Productions TV Inventions ripoff Wallingford Connecticut
I ordered by credit card the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer.
I added the expedited shipment for $9.99 and the 5 year warranty for $24.99.
The juicer did not arrive within the promised time, and when I called (1-800-558-0420) to check on it, they acknowledged it was shipped "standard". They DID credit my card for the $9.99.
When it arrived there was no invoice or anything but the juicer and the manual.
I called for some written proof of the extended warranty and received a letter that said the warranty "...in our compuer system."
It did not operate properly the first day. It wouldn't start and when it did the motor smelled like it might be burning. I called on November 14th and was promised a return label for postage and to ask for credit.
November 15th on the web,I found reports of problems with Tristar Productions. I had the credit card charge put on "dispute".
The return label was promised to be mailed November 15 or 18. It has not arrived as of November 21.
I NEVER have had an experience like this. Thanks for being able to find information on the internet about bad companies like Tristar Productions.

That Wallingford, CT. address is BOGUS. In months of writing, I have never received any response whatsoever, and they are not even listed in any Wallingford Business, or Phone Directories. Also, Customer Service (if and when they answer their 1-800 phones) refuse to give any Corporate Information out. Their real Corporate Address is: Tristar Products, 4 Century Drive, Parsippany, New Jersey, 07054. Tel: 973-683-1000, Fax: 973-683-1001, and I did receive a response within 30 minutes from their Email Address (although that may be just a scam response too, it remains to be seen, but at least I received a quick response, which has never happened before.). Their Website, as they show on TV, http://www.tvinventions.com is really owned, and registered by Tristar Products, and there is no information on that Website as to their Corporate information. Their Corporate Website really is http://www.tristarproductsinc.com and their Email address is [email protected] Good Luck !

Tristar apparantly deals in many Products that are rip-offs. The information below is taken from the text of a Federal Trade Commission lawsuit against Tristar, and two other Companies, for false and misleading advertising involving electronic massage fitness belts, auch as the "Fast ABS". Also, TV Inventions.com is mentioned in the lawsuit as a Website that is fully owned by Tristar Products.
