Tropic Cay Hotel, Fort Lauderdale Filthy Derelict Hotel, Internet
We booked this hotel and upon arriving, the Receptionist said our booking did not exist.
The Hotel was dirty without lifts. The Bedsheets were marks and obviously not changed since the last persons slept there. There were no elevators and so we had to carry our luggages. The bar was so noisy and the Management did not bother to silence them until 3 AM in the morning. The Airconditioners were rusty and the electic cables hanging and exposed. The room was musty and the bathroom very slippery.
Do not attracted by its location facing the beach, because the are several other hotels which offers better price and cleaner than Tropic Cay Hotel.
Tropic Cay Beach Hotel is the epitome of a dirtiness and the Owner does not bother to improve her facilities. Simply maximum profit. This is a health hazzard because of absence of minimum sanitary standards. The doors of each room is protected by a flimsy lock. Avoid this hotel at all cost. It is expensive and dirty. I repeat so dirty!
