Troy Hill of Troys Auto Wholesalers has a wholesalers license (#W1109) to sale cars to other dealers and NOT TO THE PUBLIC however he is selling to the public. Mr. Hill is selling bad cars to individuals such as single mothers, grandmothers, retirees, and others who struggle to make their money and cannot afford to loose what they have.

I purchased a vehicle from Mr. Hill in the amount of $6,000.00 by giving him money in the month of May 2008, however I did not receive the vehicle until November of 2008 and when I asked Mr. Hill on numerous occassions where is the vehicle, he stated 'he was looking for me a good car'.

Prior to me receiving the vehicle from Mr. Hill in November 2008, I had to pay an additional 1300.00 in repairs in order to get the car through inspection and then I had to pay for the inspection.

Shortly after I received the car in November of 2008, the car began cutting off in December 2008. I called Mr. Hill for him to do something about the problem and he stated that he would come and get the vehicle and resolve the problem.

Needless to say, Mr. Hill did not retrieve the vehicle until late January 2009. At this time Mr. Hill and I agreed that he would resolve the problem with the vehicle and return the vehicle to me the owner however Mr. Hill did not return my vehicle at all and I ended up reporting it stolen and filed charges against him.

On March 16, 2009, I retrieved my vehicle back via the police department and needless to say the vehicle has been damaged more than what I initially reported to Mr. Hill.

Through out this whole mess, I discovered that Mr. Hill's wholesale license has not been renewed, he has used fake bill of sales, and falsified other registration documentation to evade paying (i.e., motor vehicle and IRS taxes, etc.). Mr. Hill is depositing his proceeds from his car sales into his mother's account in order to evade social security and the IRS.

To add fuel to the fire Mr. Hill had the nerve to file a small claims lawsuit against me for $1800.00 for whatever reason.

This experience has truly cost me a lot of pain and stress however, it also has taught me a valuable lesson and that is to be very aware of business transactions and don't trust a friends recommendation no matter what.

Troy's Auto Wholesalers Rebuttal

I am Troy Hill, my dealer license number is W1109 and it is a VALID license in the state of MD. It is a wholesalers, which means I work with Auto dealerships. I DO NOT sell to the public. I did not sell this woman a car.

And, I am writing to tell you that this complaint was filed by, Rebecca Owens-Williams, a woman who asked me to pick up her car and take it to a reputable mechanic. She tried to claim, I stole her car to her insurance company moments after she handed me the keys. I thought I was doing a good thing, for a friend of my mother. I did not realize that the woman my mother called friend, and loaned tens of thousands of dollars to, would turn around and file false charges against me and my company and stop paying on the loan from my Mother. It is my opinion that she is a con artist and just trying to get something for nothing. In the past thirteen years I have never had any complaints. And, this complaint is totally unfounded, and I would be careful listening to her. She has been found to have committed fraud in the case with my mother.
