TTE Technology TTE Technology, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Ltd. RCA TV no longer works. Cannot contact company responsible for repairing or replacing Internet
Purchased RCA 32in. flat screen TV IN 2010. Since then RCA TV division has been purchased by TTE Technology a holding of company of TCL Multimedia of Hong Kong.
There are thousands of complaints on all makes and models of RCA flat screen TVs regarding power boards back to 2007. These boards go out anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 years after purchase causing the TV not to receive power. This is a known problem that the company ignored and continued to sell these TVs with defective power boards.
An 800 number (1-877-506-3411) is given to contact the company regarding repair or replacement but the number is busy 24/7. The parent company TCL is located outside the USA and therefore not accessible.
I have read many other complaints from customers who have finally reached someone at TTE who says they will help. Then the customer is told they must pay several hundred dollars of shipping charges to return the old TV before they will get credit to purchase yet another RCA TV.
I can't reach the 800 number at all and if I did I would certainly not pay to return a TV that is known to have been defective.
I want the TV repaired by an authorized RCA repair shop and paid for by TTE.
