Complaint Review: Turbo Lube / Donnie Beavers - Affton Missouri

Well were do I start. First yes I emailed replying to his request for a import car. There was a 3000gt vr4 shell for sale. I told Andrew "I can put it together and get the car running in 30 days or a reasonable amount of time after". Andrew also agreed to pay the car off within 30 days. He owed me around $1000 still. I will fax you a copy of our contract upon request. Before the car was finished Andrew decided to go all out requesting that we add thousands of dollars worth of racing parts to the car. I have the emails he sent and the invoice he signed for all the extra parts. (including all new white light up autometer gauges, performance clutch, large tachometer, full straight pipe 3in exhaust system, blue racing seats with harnesses, boost controller blitz blow of valve, and a stereo system mostly non-refundable) These parts cost my shop thousands of dollars. At this time I asked Andrew for another deposit to cover all the new parts. He never paid me. I have all his emails saved. He kept telling me one thing and than another. Our 30 days were way up and I still hadn't received full payment for the original job. He violated contract. I told him I'd work with him. He never made another payment. As far as the lawsuit I did not go. I knew the judge would grant him the $3000, I wasn't denying I owed him. I never said I wouldn't pay him. I had explained to Andrew on several occasions I had put a couple thousand into the car in parts and we are not made of money. I have a credit limit on parts and I maxed it out on his car. He had to wait until the car sold, or continue to make payments. His money went into his car, I didn't have it sitting around somewhere. When the car sells he'll get $3500 because that's what he gave me. I lost alot of money on this job. It took up valuable shop space for months just because he refused to pay for work he had me do. I have all the receipts for the parts on the car. As far as not answering his calls that's a lie. I talked and talked to Andrew. He emailed me everyday and I responded. I explained everything to him over and over. I even talked to his mother and she said he had no job. I took his calls until he started threatening my employees. Also he says I threatened him. I'm a business owner and I deal with unruly customers all the time. I run my business off of customers. I have always bent over backwards to please my customers and have never ever threatened anyone. Taxes have never been paid in Missouri. My business was located in Chicago last year, and this will be my first Missouri tax year. My business is registered as B and B Motors with the Secretary of state, and totally legitimate. To reply to my business being trashy, dirty, and extremely low budget, that couldn't be farther from the truth. My building may be old, and we only have two bays, but we keep it very clean and organized. Also I have purchased only the best top of the line equipment for all cars from domestics to European, Japanese, and exotics. We are better equipped than your dealership. I have invested hundreds of thousands into my business and tools. My technicians are not only ASE certified, but are also automotive and electrical engineers. As far as I know Andrew doesn't have a lawyer, and as a Christian man myself, I think it is wrong of Andrew to try to gain sympathy by saying he's a Christian. Bottom line Andrew had my shop provide a service he couldn't afford. He got in over his head. He's been mis-informed, and as far I see he just lied.
