Tutor Vista Global Rip off and second rip off for canceled Tutoring Columbia, MD 21044 Minnesota
I too contracted with Tutor Vista Global. Was assured all would be fine, NOT!
The hard to understand Indian speaking gentlemen insisted that I purchase equipment to enhance the tutor lesson. I had to decline three times!
Next and regardless of how this company states that it is available 24/7. I had to find a time slot that was open to schedule my tutor session. This was no easy task and the closest slots open were a week away. Ok, so I scheduled three (so much for 24/7).
Early morning on the scheduled tutor session day, I received a "sorry, but Tutor Vista cancelled your session". Granted, I had already paid $99, been harassed to purchase additional "enhancement" equipment, spent a great deal of time trying to schedule my sessions, waiting over a week, made sure I was ready and available, only to be cancelled.
I too cancelled. At first another hard to understand Indian speaking gentlemen insisted that nothing had been cancelled. After going round and round, I asked if he would like a copy of Tutor Vista's e-mail (that I received at 3:45 a.m.). I was immediately transferred to an equally difficult to understand Indian woman. Again, I explained my reasons and held fast. Eventually, she agreed, stated that my money would be credited and hung up.
I waited over a month for the charge to show and nothing. So I thought it had ended there. The charge showed up 45 days later (after close of that month's billing cycle). I instructed my credit card company to deny payment and thought this would be the end of it. The day that the charge was denied by my credit card company, a second charge showed up. I have again instructed my credit card company to deny this and future charges from Tutor Vista Global LLC.
However, I understand the only sure way to stop continued charges is to open up a new account! What a hassle! Needless to say, I would not recommend Tutor Vista Global LLC (1037 Buglenote Way, Columbia MD 21044) to anyone!
