TVCity.TV Total scam! Chestnut Ridge New York
Total scam! Their homepage said that the plasma would come with the original warranty. When I had placed the order on the internet I had to call in to confirm by phone. Asking about the warranty they said the box would include the full manufacturers warranty paperwork, Pioneer just would not honor it as they are not an authorized dealer. I looked at many online stores to by the plasma. Be aware if it says comes with full US warranty they are probably lying to you. I talked to one (TvCity.tv) store which confirmed by phone that they are an authorized dealer. As I was still in a doubt i called Pioneer to confirm this. Unfortunately Pioneer said they are not authorized. Adressing this statement with the store the guy I talked to replied that he was mistaken... that they are a Sony not Pioneer authorized dealer. I wasted a lot of time on dealing with dishonest stores. I finally bought it at the local tweeter store and ended up just paying $150 more than online!

Pioneer does honor warrantys

I purchased 3 pioneer 141 elites from this company and had no problem with the warranty. Infact one of the TV's after the first year stopped working and i contacted TVCITY who had their repersentive address and fix the problem. They were able to provide me with an invoice , and i had a TV service repair guy sent from pioneer fix the teleivision. The whole process took 3 days !!!. Pioneer and retail stores only say they wont honor the warranty because they don't want you to buy there products at a discounted price. But this makes no difference once you provide them with an invoice and im sure you wont have a problem with tvcity !!
