Twistbox Entertainment, Inc. Twistbox Games, Play for Prizes Promised Prizes for Winning Prizes from Twistbox Games Never Arrive Internet
Twist Box Entertainment, Inc. puts a demo version of the game, "Mini Golf Las Vegas for Prizes" on an LG Elite Sprint phone that I own. I read under the "Available Prizes" section of this cellphone game that "You are playing the demo version of this game, for which no actual prizes will be awarded. To compete for these prizes, purchase and download the full version."
When I started winning games in their head to head and weekly high score tournaments, however, I saw that I was listed as the "winner" of prizes, so I thought the above warning was outdated. These prizes include an Xbox 360, Ipod Touch, and $100 Itunes card.
So far, I have been notified that I have won 2 Ipod Touch devices, 1 Xbox 360, and 1 Itunes card. This notification came to my cell phone, and when I claimed my prizes at www.play-4-prizes.com, I was sent individual e-mails confirming the winnings on 11/28/10, 12/6/10, 1/3/11, & 1/11/11 and promised delivery 45 days later. The first prize did NOT arrive on 1/12/11 as promised, and Karen Lichtman from Twist Box Games e-mailed me on 1/11/11 that "there are no prizes available on Demo games."
I wouldn't mind not receiving prizes from a demo game that I did not purchase, but I DO object to this misrepresentation from Twist Box Entertainment. I also object to the "bait and switch" offer in this description from the game on the cell phone: "To compete for these prizes, purchase and download the full version." It is implied that the nice prizes I listed above are the prizes you can win if you buy the full version of the game. In fact, if you purchase the game you can only compete to win a $5.00 Amazon gift card!

A few days after I filed complaints both at this site and the Better Business Bureau, I noticed one small change on the Mini Gold Las Vegas for Prizes game I play. After you click to play one of the demo games on the phone you come to a screen that says,
"Top player wins a prize!
1 - No prize offered"
As expected, none of the nice prizes I "won" has arrived. I hope at least that a few people find the warnings I have posted so they won't be disappointed by this company's failure to deliverprizes they imply have been won.
