TWX MAGAZINE FRAUDULANT CHARGED MY BANK ACCT. $$$ CREATING AN OVERDRAFT FEE Nationwide
my bank acct has also been used to create an unauthorized charge which created an non sufficient fee of $33.00 . this occured on 4.14.08 (day of all days that i didn't check my bank acct). I happend to notice this on Sat. 4.19.08. I called the company at 1-800-607-9869 and spoke to a very polite gentleman who assured me that amount (unauthorized as it was) for "prevention magazines" will be refunded within 72 hours...(I am waiting) (they say it was purchased over the phone/I say it was told to be "free" /no charge. )..the charge of $22.00 initially. I am on a fixed budget considering I am unemployed ...so definitely this amt wasn't included in my acct...I can't afford that, but what was really the kicker : the Bank's charge of $33.00 (DO THE MATH!!!) for OD fees/////I was told to fax the information to their "overdraft dept" (obviously, this happens constantly) and I did : fax the copy of my debits (at the time their's was cleard _the unauthorized chg_ but when my authorized debits were applied then my account became overdrawn... If it had not been for their charge, my bank acct. wouldn't have been ovrdrwn... So, all of this has been faxed and noted and on Monday, I will call my bank to report them...and if there is no solution, I will also report them to BBB...I am going to call again to see if I can't get a telephone number to their "overdraft dept"...I really want this solved ASAP because I do have another authhorized debit coming out of my acct in 72 hours,,, so if they haven't taken care of this, then they will certain owe me $33.00 twice ...I will give them ample time to correct the error (24-48 hrs) and then I will pass this on to the more professional authority!!!

well, i just called the 800 # again to see if i could get an actual phone# for the "overdraft dept". I can't they only have that fax # / this is all they deal with . so, it is apparent that there are a lot of request from people who's bank acct they have charged and created an overdraft fee ...I was told that it would take at least 2 WEEKS for this $33.00 refund to be processed and I explained to the nice young lady that I have other charges coming thru (authorized of course) and mor OD fees will accumulate (their co. will be held responsible)...Also, I insisted that if they have any other charges (and they did) waiting to process , Please cancel, remove me from the mailing list, and my credit card info also....So, I guess I have to wait 2 weeks instead of 72hrs for the OD fee to be refunded///I will talk to my bank to see if they can hold off on any other fees being that this charge was without my permission. This seems as if it's the best I can do....Good luck to me and all others who have this Problem...Lesson Learned: no business over phone/expecially when they say "FREE"! There is usually a price later...
