In 2011 I decided to go with txu and had to pay a 300 deposit. In 2013 I transferred my service to a new address and during the process requested an extension. Now its 2014 and I am moving again. Instead of doing a transfer I set up new service with txu at the new address and just called when I was ready to disconnect the old address. Before I called to disconnect I read the terms for receiving my deposit back and called to inform txu that I wanted it back and not to credit the new account. I was told to let the representative know when I call in to have the old address disconnected. So I did and what do they do? -credit on the new account! I called to get it resolved and they act as if they are looking a reason to not give me my deposit back. I was even told once that after a decision is made that they would get back with me. A decision for what?!! After two weeks of their mistake and every time I call in getting different answers, having to call back and request a supervisor just to make sure I was told the same thing, they finally told me it was in the mail... well that was 6 days ago and I am still waiting. As far as the service, I am on a month to month plan so that I can shop around but the plan that I was under a 1 year contract wasn't too bad, they said it was no longer available when I switched. The month to month has been higher though. There representatives need to be trained better. I would call in and get a generic answer before someone would actually review my account then open there mouth. This experience waiting on my deposit because of their mistake has been horrible. But I guess they don't care because their taking people money everyday.

Your report makes no sense! You paid your deposit, moved and requested an extension for what?? If you do not pay your bills on time then you are subject to forfeiture of your deposit.  And NO I do not work for them. As for your "check is in the mail" you are wanting that in a day or two?? WRONG!  It has to go through a process with the AP/AR department and I can guarantee you are not the only person who is waiting on a refund so get over it.

Don't like their services then good luck finding another company that will give you rates that will satisfy your ego.  Want to ensure a monthly rate? Sign up for average billing then your bills with be the same every month
