I live in Mansfield a suberb of Dallas Texas and On 02-25-2011 Oncor Electric services turned off my electricity. I called TXU who is my service provider and asked them why my service was off. TXU told me they showed my address as active and that it should have not been turned off and that I should call Oncor.

I called Oncor and they said it was schedualed to be turned off by TXU and that I needed to call them to have it turned back on. So I called TXU back and they guarnteed me that they did not send in  a work order to have it turned off because the account was up to date and had been for several months. So after going back and forth I talked to a rep Named George from TXU who said that TXU had a pending disconect back in October of 2010 that was recalled due to payment being made and somehow Oncor made a mistake and thought it was an old order and turned off the electricity and that he would put an order in to have it turned back on and it would only take a few minuits. I also informed them that my parents and children were at my house (parents living with me due to lay offs)

After two hours I called ONCOR to get an estimate on how long it would be before my electricity would turned back on and ONCOR told me that they never recieved a work order and that I would have to call TXU back. So here we go again I called back TXU and Spoke with a supervisor named Holly who told me that ONCOR turned off my electricity because there was possible tampering with my meter back in October of 2010 (changing their story) and that I would have to call ONCOR and pay several hundreds of dollars for a tampering fine. I told Holly that I would call Oncor back but If they couldnt help me should I call an Attorney Holly said since I mentoned Attorney she could no longer help me and hung up the phone.

So I called back ONCOR and asked them why they said my meter was tampered with ONCOR said they never said anything about my meter being tampered with and that TXU was wrong for telling me that. The lady I spoke with at ONCOR said she would make a work order to have it turned back on and it was turned back on five minuits later. the whole ordeal lasted Five hours of back and forth phone calls constantly. Oh and by the way TXU told me there will be a ninty dollar reconection fee on my next bill. Just some back ground information an me I am a senior Police officer and I can say that my electric material attached to my house has never been tampered with and I feel that this is a way that the electric compainy can steal money from you because they can charge you a penalty for tampering with their equipment with out displaying any kind of proof that anything had been tampered with. But like ONCOR told me they never said anything had been tampered with So even now I still dont know why my electricity was turned off for six hours.

You should never respond to "Greg" he targets all the people that post anythign electircal on here and according to the few that did contact him, he did nothing. Second, who cares if you are a cop? I work in law enforcement and know the creeps, losers, rapists, and pedos that they hire. Being a cop does not mean you are in any way a good person, just that you can get away with it longer normally. Stop leaning on that cruch
