Ultimate Chopper coordinates ripoff scam with multiple companies giving out credit card information to subsequent scam artists Los Angeles California
My wife succumbed to the advertising for the "Ultimate Chopper" and placed an order. When it arrived we found that they had doubled the order and charged us for both units. Since one of the units disintegrated on first use, we opted to keep the other and just write it off to experience.
Soon afterward we began to be bombarded by phone calls from telemarketing activities who expressed an ability to offer us special deals with just our verbal authorization over the phone. The iformed us that they had already gotten our credit card information from Ultimate Chopper and were therefore able to save us the inconvenience of giving it again. We refused.
Still in all there have been several unauthorized charges to our account, most notably by MWI Homeworks Plus, for 14.95 monthly since April 2004 until now. Since we have been traveling as well as changing residence we have only just become aware of these charges. When I called the number given I spoke to "Justin" a man with an east indian accent who 6 times attempted to get me to continue with the company and finally on the 7 try, agreed to stop charging the card and reimburse our account for the money collected for which we have received absolutely no product or service. I am skeptical that they will conform with my request so I will also contact Visa as soon as possible.
