Ultimate Unity Inc Totally A Scam Michigan City, Indiana
In the spring a young woman knocked at my door saying she was selling books and magazines that would be donated to schools, shelters etc. to help with teaching children to read. She also said that she was a single mom trying to make a living doing this. As a former teacher, I am always willing to help with children's education. I even had the opportunity to choose what age level I wanted to help. I chose a couple of books geared toward middle schoolers and thought nothing more of it. Three months later I came home from work and found two packages at my door- books that would be of no interest to me or my husband. I called the company and found that I had ordered the books last spring from a door to door salesperson. The only reason I bought them was to help in an effort to teach reading. The lesson I am taking away (after I find someplace to donate the books) is I will never buy from a door to door salesperson again. The irony is if she had told me she was trying to support herself selling books, I would have probably bought one- but one in which I would be interested.
