In January, I opened the door to a man in a suit with long fingernails. He was very pleasant and well-spoken and told me about his former drug addiction and how he was trying to get his life back together. He showed me a catalog of kid's books and posters and I liked the "Cars" books for my daughter. I wrote an $80 check, and was given a receipt and told it would take 120 days for the books and posters to arrive, but we wwould receive one each a month for a year.
I patiently waited the 120 days before i called my bank and was told there was nothing they could do since I wrote and signed the check. I feel like a fool for believing this guy and handing over my hard earned $80 right after the holidays...
