UMG Services (Buyer's Edge) Charged my credit card without my permission. Schaumburge Illinois
This company charged my credit card in the amount of $14.95 without my permission. I had a very busy weekend coming up and I paid my credit card in full to make sure I had the money because I was going out of town for three days. I made reservations at a hotel and when it was time for me to check in, I was unable to pay for my room. I was very embarrassed. I went online to check my credit card statement and I saw that I was missing about $15.00. There were no pending transactions, which puzzled me. I kept asking myself, "Where did the money go?". The next day, I saw a posted transaction. The transaction read, "UMG*BUYERSEDGE CALL - 888-326-7156, IL $14.95. I called this number and asked them what this was about. They told me that they were a company that gives discounts on airfare and things like that.
I was really angry. I told them they had no right charging my credit card for something I did not sign up for. The gentleman I spoke with was acting strange and really had nothing to say, I guess because I busted them. He told me he would refund my money back to my credit card within 2 or three statements. I told him I wanted my money now. The next day, I looked at my statement again and they had put the money back on my credit card like I asked. I do not appreciate them doing this and I am writing this report to prevent other people from being ripped off. Please, CHECK YOUR STATMENTS FREQUENTLY!!. I am still upset because my trip was ruined due to these people stealing money off of my card.
