Same sad story as everyone else, these people "who do not speak good English" convinced me this was not a scam and got my bank account number from me as well as my permission to deduct $1.95 for postage to send my gift.

All I had to do was call and cancel the free trial services they had signed me up for, and I did.

A week later I got my $1000 shopping spree certificate and some diet pills Haa. only to find out the items I could get with my shopping spree would cost more than just going out and buying them in a store.

So now a month later I had almost forgotten about this and suddenly $149.50 was taken from my bank account. After speaking with my bank I found out

Unified services had made the withdrawal, and because I had given them permission and access to my account I couldn't really do much at the bank.

So I called the customer service number for unified services that they had given me, all I got was a recording telling me the customer service numbers for the free trails, so I tried those numbers, they are all connected, all three free trial companies and Unified Services have the same phone reps. So the woman I spoke to who did speak very clear good English said there was a mistake and all I had to do was mail or fax a request for refund. That I did.

Now a few more weeks have passed and I got a letter from them with a refund agreement enclosed for me to sign and send back, My concern is the way it's worded and I'm not a lawyer or anything like that so I don't really know what it means, and I don't have a lawyer. So it kind of sounds like the refund agreement is saying, I agree to this refund and can no long hold this company accountable for anything that happens after I get the refund.

This is how it's actually worded. "I agree that said payment is full and complete compensation for this transaction. This agreement includes payment from but not limited to any other source of payment connected to this transaction, including banks, holding companies, or any other related party. I therefore hold Unified Services harmless from any future action on my part pursuant to this negotiation and transaction."

So if anyone out there thinks I shouldn't sign this or dosn't think I need to please let me know.

and don't let them get you it is such a scam.

Slippery, We found your complaint against our company posted on ripoffreport.com. Our company offers a free 3 day 2 night hotel stay and a complimentary Internet shopping spree. Additionally, we offer 10-day trials for three other services; long distance, internet and a weight loss supplement, which are also available to our customers. Our trial offers are of exceptional quality and value. Our long distance program; Call USA is a calling card that can be used from any touchtone telephone. We offer unlimited calling anywhere in the United States and International calling to over 70 countries. Our service is a one-of-a-kind and is offered for only $23.97 a month. The 2nd program we offer is for Internet service. Online Advantage offers unlimited high-speed dial-up Internet access to over 10,000 locations nationwide (great for traveling). We have one of the most competitive prices on the market at only $17.99 a month with no contract, so you can cancel when you like. Our last program is for a dietary weight loss supplement called Ultra Thermo Boost 2000. Our product contains the safe natural weight loss ingredient, Hoodia. Our trial includes 20 pills which is a 10-day supply, absolutely free. Each of our orders are recorded by a third-party verification company. We verify that each order is valid and that the customer did in fact agree to each trial. Additionally, when our customers agree to the trials, they are provided with each of the customer service numbers with which to cancel should they choose to do so before the end of their 10-day trial as not to be charged. The only reason a customer would be debited is because they failed to cancel in the allotted trial time period. Our customer service center is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. Over 90% of our calls are answered in less than 4 minutes. The wording in our refund agreement is simply indicating that once we issue you a refund for the amount we withdrew that you cannot try to obtain additional funds from our company. Honestly, I'm not sure why it is put in there, because once we issue you a refund there would not be any reason to try to request additional monies. If you would like to contact me at the address listed below I can make sure that your account has been cancelled, but I'm sure it already has been (to prevent any further debits). We do not send any refund agreements out without first making sure the account has been cancelled. As soon as we receive your signed refund agreement we will issue you a check for the full amount. Please contact me if there is anything further I can assist you with or if you have any further questions or concerns. Sincerely, Unified Services [email protected] Customer Service (866) 904-7796
